After being born and raised in Alabama, I relocated to Phoenix Arizona in 2000.

Arizona allowed me to learn to stand on my own two feet, as well as learning to be a little self indulgent and explore the west. I took flying lessons and went to Disneyland, San Francisco and many major league baseball games.  A few trips to Vegas and other weekend adventures gave me a bigger view of my own little world. While I was there I learned about the inner workings of the Internet and learned to swim. It was ten years well spent.

After ten years of living in the "valley of the sun" I felt the time was right to go back to the east, to live near my children and their families. 

Starting this new chapter of my life in Kentucky has given me a whole new area of the country to explore with my 10 grandchildren and their parents. The added benefit is I get to write about what I see.  I also write at InfoBarrel. I started writing there about the same time as I discovered HubPages.
